So I have been in and out of my kids lives for 6 years and been struggling with addiction the entire time. I finally have my self together and a stable mindset. No want need or desire to ever get or or live that life style. Now I want to be there for my sons and their dads are having problems trusting that I am a different person with good reason. How do I show them without them even giving me the time of day. It takes interaction and conversations but they will not give me that. And of course my boys feed off they’re energy and it causes problems or for them to feel like they’re doing something wrong by enjoying time or conversations with me. Im here now and trying my damnest to be in their life. I get it it takes time but the longer im out of they’re life the harder it’s going to be to gain they’re trust and earn a spot in their heart. They act like they’re trust and understand and hell they have both been in my shoes not too long ago. Have they forgotten what this felt like? I have never been the one to bad mouth my children’s fathers or keep them from their son. Why are they treating me like im an outcast and not they’re mother. I know I have messed up and made mistake but I am trying to heal their wounds and it has to happen with the love and support of the people that have been there the entire time. I am not a threat I am not trying to replace them. I am just trying to step up to the plate and be the best mother I can be to make up for lost time!!
